Euston Station

As the leaves started to change colors into a somewhat autumn-looking, it was not a peculiar sight anymore that people are caught wearing extra layer of clothes, preferably the waterproof one. It rained again this morning, the paved road got all soggy with wet leaves and fallen branches. Obviously struck off the possibility to wear a fancy flat shoes, but rather a dull-looking ankle boots.

Having non-existent skills in navigation, she knew by heart she would get lost the second she got off from the tube. Greeted by hundreds morning rushers changing platforms, the Evening Standards, a lady who seems to forget her card, her unsettling steps did not subside, as she’s afraid with her hot coffee got spilled to her broken white knitwear. People, another people, and lots of people. Perhaps she’d enjoy riding the elevator this time, and a little exercise later in the evening.

Turned out the rain had stopped completely when she stepped out from the station, just a buzzy winds, so chilly it was. She allowed some times to get absorbed in the unfamiliarity. A different kind of morning rush, thousands of accents, friendly gestures, and a moody sky, all blended into a warm greeting to her first Thursday morning in Euston Station.

Euston Station provides train services for an intercity commute too. Hence catching people with a daypack was nothing to be frowned upon. Not to mention on Thursday morning. Perhaps it was business trips or shot visits to their children’s apartment. Departing from and arriving in London, the journey might have been a pleasant one to many. A bit interesting to observe how people in this bustling city always managed to appear presentable with their outfit. Spares her a bit of wonder as to what time did they get up, or rather, how do they escape from the comfort of their bed.

With the navigation on and destination set, she bid Euston Station a see you again. She wished this time she could find her location just by the right time.
